Mental Health

Our newest collection focuses on helping individuals with mental illnesses.

Bring Change to Mind is an organization focused on spreading awareness about various mental health topics: A.D.H.D., Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, PTSD, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Schizophrenia. Although this isn't a comprehensive list of all mental illnesses, it addresses many disorders of the brain.

According to BC2M, one in four adults suffers from mental illness. These can be caused by anything from genetics to environmental factors. BC2M works to educate the public on the different types of mental disorders and how treatment can allow individuals to live their life to the fullest.

What can I do to help others?

The first important step in understanding mental illness is to educate yourself. Education helps us open up and recognize those who may be struggling internally. The next step is starting the conversation. You don't need to go beyond your comfort zone, but letting others know that you are open to their needs and struggles can be a life changing help. Individuals who suffer from mental illnesses may not show noticeable signs, so it is important that they know they have the support of others. Engaging in conversations that go beyond the typical "how are you doing?" can lead to others opening up about their lives. We have personally lost loved ones due to mental illness which inspired us to create this collection. No one should suffer in silence. By becoming an ally, you can help someone else in their journey back up the mountain.

If you or someone you know needs immediate help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.
